This gathering is sponsored by the Mission and Justice Coordinating Team’s new sub-group – BATH (Beyond Abuse to Healing) in the Presbytery of Charlotte. See information below from an event she will be leading earlier in the day: Dr. Nancy Nason-Clark, Director of The Rave Project, will present updates and features of the site including The Dating Game and connections to shelter programs all over North America. The free resource was developed at the University of New Brunswick under a Lilly Endowment grant and directed by Dr. Nason-Clark. The purpose of the “Religion And Violence E-learning” website is to assist religious leaders in obtaining practical information that will aid in compassionate ministry to victims of domestic violence within their congregations and to help educate the community concerning domestic violence intervention and prevention. RAVE is a non-denominational website, which contains comprehensive, practical information that is easily accessible and may be completely downloaded. Charlotte was chosen for the live worldwide launch of the website in 2007 because of local advocate and faith leader support. *For more information you can go to www.theraveproject.com to learn more about the work of Dr. Nason-Clark.
